Boryspil Airport

Boryspil Airport Kiev (Kyiv) Ukraine

Boryspil International airport (KBP) is the largest and the busiest airport in Ukraine and the main airport serving the capital city, Kiev (Kyiv). The airport is just 6 km west of Boryspil town, and 29 km east of the City of Kiev. Through its airline operators, the airport provides flights to destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North America, Central Asia and East Asia. There are four terminals, terminal B,C,D and F. Only Terminal D and Terminal F are used for passenger flights. The inter-terminal shuttle buses connect all terminals, parking facilities, bus stops and taxi stands and run every 5-15 minutes during the day time, and every  3 mins at night. All airport signs are in both Ukrainian and English.

Getting to and from Boryspil Kyiv International Airport is easy providing you plan carefully. First thing to consider is the traffic. If you travel by car then leave yourself plenty of time as the traffic in Kiev (Kyiv) can be horrendous. When taking a taxi only use official Taxi cabs, there are a lot of opportunists in dodgy vehicles who might try to rip-you-off.

Boryspil Airport

Boryspil Airport to Kiev (Kyiv) city centre by Car

The distance between the airport and the city centre is  35 km and will take at least 33 minutes by car (but normally longer due to traffic congestion). When you exit arrivals you will be accosted by a group of unlicensed drivers offering you a ride. Unless you enjoy travelling in un-roadworthy vehicles our advice is to avoid them. There is an official Taxi desk situated in the Arrivals terminal. The prices are a little higher than normal but it is the safest and most reliable way to travel. You can also go for Uber or Uklon (local Ukraine taxi app).
